Aly collaborated with fellow writer and musician Julian Greene to bring this project to life. Julian's raw, edgy poetry is featured throughout the novel, designated by the initials JD.
Both artists also produced and performed an original song called "Undertow," which is currently streaming on all major streaming platforms.

Shaw is deeply entrenched in a cartel war. This dark suspense story contains scenes of violence, torture, and imprisonment. Flashbacks to his traumatic past include references to physical and emotional abuse, and combined with the present suspense, drives an ominous tone throughout the book. There are also some vague references to sexual exploitation and one scene where the MMC is stripped to search for a recording device (not completely and there's no assault.) The MMC is periodically subjected to unwanted advances from a female character, but it's not graphic or taken far.
